The plasma‑cutting bevel‑welding robotic workstation is a purpose‑built, integrated automated processing system designed to address the widespread pain points of the steel‑structure profile‑fabrication industry—namely, cumbersome traditional processes, low bevel‑machining efficiency, inconsistent weld quality due to manual welding, and relatively high production costs. The workstation combines core technologies such as precision plasma cutting, profile‑bevel forming, and automated robotic welding, enabling end‑to‑end, fully integrated operations for cutting, beveling, and form‑welding of H‑beams, channel sections, T‑beams, and other steel‑structure profiles. The workstation is equipped with a high‑performance plasma cutting system, specifically optimized and upgraded for beveling steel structural profiles. It can rapidly perform fixed‑length cutting, as well as one‑pass forming of V‑, U‑, and multi‑angle weld bevels. At the same time, it seamlessly integrates complementary processes such as slotting, drilling, and end‑face finishing, meeting diverse machining requirements for medium‑ and thick‑plate materials and standard structural steels. Compared with traditional flame cutting and manual bevel grinding, plasma cutting delivers faster processing speeds and a smaller heat‑affected zone, effectively minimizing issues like workpiece distortion, rough cut surfaces, and deviations in bevel angles. This results in high bevel‑forming accuracy and excellent consistency, eliminating the need for extensive secondary manual grinding and finishing. Consequently, lead‑time for preliminary operations is significantly reduced, providing standardized, well‑defined workpiece surfaces for subsequent welding. By addressing these factors at the source, the system lowers the likelihood of welding defects and enhances overall process yield.
