The nine-axis cantilever‑type intelligent workstation integrates an intelligent welding system with a large‑field‑of‑view 3D camera, incorporating advanced capabilities such as point‑cloud reconstruction and rapid initial positioning. The system supports two machining modes: first, model‑driven machining, which allows direct import of 3D models in STEP, STP, or IFC formats from software like Tekla, SOLIDWORKS, and UG; second, drawing‑free machining, which generates point‑cloud data by scanning the workpiece and automatically performs reverse engineering. The equipment can automatically detect weld seam locations, intelligently match welding process parameters, and generate optimal welding paths, enabling high‑precision, high‑efficiency operations while significantly enhancing manufacturing capabilities.
The nine-axis cantilever intelligent workstation is primarily used for welding operations on medium‑size structural components in shipbuilding and bridge construction, as well as on workpieces with highly complex mechanical configurations. It seamlessly integrates the adaptability of ground‑rail, seven‑axis cantilever, and eight‑axis cantilever workstations. The system features deep integration of welding processes: a vision system precisely locates weld seams on components, and based on the acquired seam coordinates, it automatically generates welding programs by leveraging the Bochu Welding Expert Library to execute the welding operation. For flat‑angle, vertical‑angle, and multi‑layer, multi‑pass welds on workpieces positioned in any orientation, the system enables accurate, rapid welding without the need for programming, teach‑in, or graphic import. Additionally, the workstation offers auxiliary functions such as arc tracking, automatic torch cleaning, and long‑duration continuous welding.
